Design.

I design custom apps using Figma. I love creating ideas for what a small business could do to benefit others.

design

I have a passion for making my designs clear, aesthetic, and eye-catching to all who view them. With UX/UI design, I get to incorporate all the basic design elements of color, design, and patterns into a useful form. Having a logical, easy-to-use design is my goal in creating any phone or web application interface.

I was recently accepted into the BYU Sandbox program in the Rollins Center for Entrepreneurship. In this program, I will design the user interface and experience for a technology app. The goal of this program is to create and launch a successful company that solves a paint point that many people face. I am looking forward to using my skills in design to help this product succeed.

I primarily use Figma to design my prototypes. I am also familiar with Adobe Xd and can easily adapt to whatever prototyping program is needed for projects. In addition, I am proficient at designing websites using Webflow (I designed this portfolio website from scratch myself) and Wordpress.

Vista Selections

I spent a year working with a team of students in an entrepreneurial program called "Sandbox." My team created a web app to help homebuilders manage design selections.

As the head designer of the web app, I designed a selection process that allowed new homeowners to view, compare, and select the design options that the builders use to build the home. This reduced unnecessary confusion, misunderstandings, and communication over decisions that can easily be made and recorded online.

Throughout the process, my team conducted 50+ interviews to d problem. We were projected to earn $30k from UBA for use in a 47-home development

In addition, I designed and built a website with over 5,000 impressions and 200+ clicks to validate the pain and the solution.

Website

Crave.

Crave is yelp for people with dietary restrictions.

Currently, dietary restricted people have to sift through hundreds of google and yelp reviews to see if a restaurant provides their diet options. Finding these reviews can be unreliable, difficult, and time-consuming.

People with restrictions have shared that finding a place to eat can take as long as 45 minutes. They end up going to the same couple restaurants that they already know are safe.

"Crave" helps people with dietary restrictions find restaurants to eat much faster by using a social networking system.

Individuals with similar dietary restrictions leave reviews of the dishes they ordered from restaurants. Others can then see their reviews in their search to find a safe places to eat. This significantly reduces the time they spent researching restaurants.

They can also connect with each other to find common ground in their lifestyles. Crave provides a place where people with food restrictions can have each other's backs.

Ready-up.

Another app project I made a prototype for is called “Ready-Up.” This app allows people of similar demographics to connect and plan times to meet up for various activities such as basketball, super smash tournaments, or Pokemon. It also has a feature where users can chat with other users and develop relationships.
